Swami from France Speaks – Tues. Aug. 30

Swami Veetamohananda, head of Vedanta Society of France, will speak at 7:15PM, immediately following 7:00PM Arati. Please arrive early as there is limited seating. All are welcome.

 

Swami Yogatmananda to Ridgely– Sept. 3 - 4

Swami Yogatmananda and devotees will visit Vivekananda Retreat, Ridgely NY on Saturday Sept 03 and Sunday Sept 04, where Swami will conduct a retreat on the Brahma Sutras (first 4 aphorisms).

Day long retreat – Sat. July 30

Kapilopadesha was discussed at the Mukerjee's home in Shelton CT, from 9:30 AM – 5 PM. More than sixty devotees attended this sixth Connecticut-Middletown Temple group event. The retreat included Swami Yogatmananda's lectures with Q/A; devotional singing, luncheon, etc.

Krishna Festival – Sun. Aug 21

In observance of Sri Krishna Janmashtami, about sixty-five devotees attended an outdoor gathering at the Abram’s home in Barrington RI. The program consisted of devotional music, a traditional Indian dance, a skit about Krishna performed by International Institute students from Nepal & Bhutan, short talks by a devotee and Swami Yogatmananda, an offering to Krishna and Prasad luncheon.

Tuesdays Vedanta Study class in Summer - Spiritual Musings of Hafez

In the month of August, about 20 poems of Hafez were discussed to bring out the spiritual significance in them.
