Special Service at Annisquam Village Church

Swami Vivekananda gave his first public lecture in America at the Annisquam Village Church located at 820 Washington St, Gloucester, MA 01930.

As part of the 150th Birth Anniversary Celebration of Swami Vivekananda, Vedanta Societies in Providence and Boston have arranged a Special Service at the Annisquam Village Church on Sunday July 28, 4:30 PM - 7:00 PM.

The Program also includes a quick guided tour of Salem, MA, the place that has been blessed by the visit of Swami Vivekananda.

 

Vedanta Society will not be renting mini Buses, as announced earlier for various reasons. Instead carpooling will be arranged from the Vedanta Society of Providence.

Those who want a ride, please send an email to vedantaprov-AT-hotmail.com, giving details such as contact number & names of the people, or call Vedanta Society at 401-421-3960 on or before July 22, 2013.

The plan is to leave Vedanta Society parking lot by 12:00 Noon sharp.

 

You can drive there on your own also; but parking is very scarce; so please do car-pooling.
In that case also please inform Vedanta Society of Providence by phone (401-421-3960) or

email ( vedantaprov-AT-hotmail.com ) so that food arrangements can be done accordingly.

• 4:15 PM: Prelude Music. (Sitar by Koyel Ghoshal - it is specially requested by the Church to have Sitar)
• 4:30 PM: Welcome by the Church President/Pastor
• 4:35 PM: Vedic Chanting (by both Swamis)
• 4:40 PM: "The Mission" - song (played by the Church organist and sung by all)
• 5:00 PM: Speech by Swami Yogatmananda
• 5:20 PM: Speech by the Pastor
• 5:40 PM: Musical Interlude
• 5:50 PM: Speech by Swami Tyagananda
• 6:10 PM: Vote of Thanks (Chester Boncek)
• 6:20 PM: Concluding Music
• 6:25 PM: Plaque Uncovering
• 6:30 PM: A Video Presentation on Swamiji In Annisquam and Supper
